Der Verkehr in Teheran wird durch Lärm, Dichte und Abgase bestimmt. Die vielen Kleinmotorräder kommen besser durch die täglich verstopften Straßen als Autos und LKWs. Wie kleine Arbeitsbienen reihen sich die Mopeds in dieser Fotoarbeit zu einer langem Wurm aneinander. Der Reifen des Vordermanns an dem des Hintermanns gepresst (wobei im Iran tatsächlich nur Männer das Fahrzeug lenken dürfen). Die durch diesen fiktiven Motor-Wurm produzierte Lärm-Kakophonie kann leicht erahnt werden.

Erstellt bei einem Kooshk Artist-In-Residency Aufenthalt in Teheran/Iran (Mai 2019). Gefördert durch das Land Salzburg.

The traffic in Tehran is characterized by noise, tightness and air pollution. Small motorcycles are a better fit than cars and truck for this every day traffic jam. In this work the endless line of motorcycle form a long worm of wheels. The front wheel of one vehicle pressed to the rear wheel of the other vehicle. It is easy to image the cacophonous noise of this row of engines.
