The way plants appear to us is closely connected to how they are depicted in scientific textbooks. The external form mirrors the cellular structure within—or perhaps this is simply how we choose to see it.
To capture this interplay and add depth, the technical process of the work incorporates multiple layers: resist painting, analogue photography using the cyanotype technique, black ink drawings, and collage elements from a 1970s Austrian schoolbook.
